Jackie Q. Pham

Jackie Q. Pham is an Associate Attorney with Moyer Lewis & Patton.

While she was born in the U.S., Jackie spent 4-years overseas in China and Malaysia due to her father’s job overseeing the construction of Intel’s Shanghai headquarters. Jackie attended various international schools where she was exposed from a young age to different people, cultures, and languages. Wanting to become a well-rounded individual, Jackie obtained a degree in Political Science and Business Administration before attending law school for her J.D. And in law school, Jackie participated in moot court and negotiation competitions, became the Chief Articles Editor of the Houston Journal of Health Law & Policy, made the Dean’s List, and was awarded the American Bankruptcy Institute’s Medal of Excellence. Jackie also interned for the Honorable Jeff Bohm of United States Bankruptcy Court and clerked for several law firms. After law school Jackie worked for a business bankruptcy firm before joining Moyer Lewis & Patton in 2020. Jackie’s experiences provides her with an open-mindedness and versatility that she carries with her throughout her law practice.

Jackie is licensed by the State of Texas. She advises individuals and small to midsized companies in navigating the complexities of the business sector and advocates on their behalf. Jackie’s experience covers a wide array of transactional, compliance, and litigation matters in the areas of business law, commercial litigation, and bankruptcy.

Jackie loves dogs and currently has a Shiba Inu named Elkie. In her free time, she enjoys playing League of Legends and is a fan of Esports and the Cloud9 League of Legends team.

  • Advised a corporate client on Section 301 Chinese Import Tariffs and drafted an Exemption Letter on their behalf.
  • Aided Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Trustees in pursuing Preference and Fraudulent Transfer claims by drafting Original Complaints, Bankruptcy Pleadings and Motions, reviewing Chapter 11 Confirmation Plans, and working with CPAs to develop an Insolvency Analysis.
  • Aided a bankrupt U.S. subsidiary file international Proofs of Claim in both Singapore and the Netherlands to successfully recover over $2 million.
  • Drafted Motions and Objections for Summary Judgment, Default Judgment, Strike, Sanctions, Dismiss, and Demand Letters and Discovery Pleadings on behalf of clients in federal and state civil court for Breach of Contract, Bankruptcy, Off-Shore Maritime, Insurance, and Healthcare suits.
  • Drafted Responses and Briefs and attended hearings involving proper jurisdiction over international oil companies.
  • Attended mediations over Breach of Contract and Default claims involving commercial insurance policies and financial lending agreements.
  • Reviewed Employment and Non-Compete Agreements in the shipping, manufacturing, oil & gas, and healthcare industries.
  • Reviewed a Factoring Agreement for the purchase and sale of a company’s account receivables.
